If you purchased a 24″ Kenmore electric range last year, take note that it may be part of an appliance recall due to an electrical shock hazard.
Sears Kenmore 24-inch wide freestanding electric ranges with model number 790.90152 and serial numbers from NF408 through NF424 and model number 790.90153 with serial numbers from NF408 through NF427 are being recalled.
About 3,000 ranges, produced by Electrolux in Canada, pose an electrical shock hazard to consumers because the heating element can fail to properly adhere to the cooktop.
If your range is part of the recall, stop using it and contact Sears toll-free at (888) 281-3915 between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. CT Monday through Saturday, or between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. CT Sunday to schedule your free inspection and repair.
