Airbnb and National Geographic found the perfect place to watch the eclipse

On August 21, 2017, millions will witness an event that hasn’t happened across the U.S. for 99 years: a total solar eclipse.

I’m hoping the skies will cooperate in SWFL and not be too cloudy. The perfect place to view the eclipse may have been put together by National Geographic and Airbnb.

They sponsored a contest where the winner and one guest take a two-hour plane ride west with Dr. Jedidah Isler, a National Geographic Explorer for an extended and breathtaking view of the eclipse in full.

The winners will also get to stay in a geodesic dome equipped with telescopes to take in the night sky the day before in Terrebonne, Oregon.

Breakfast is also part of the package which is good since no open flames are allowed in their desert retreat.
