Named the Luv Collection, this series is timeless, elegant and minimal in style. Manz uses soft, muted colors and curved shapes inspired by a bowl filled with water on a table. “The image in my mind’s eye from the very start was a bowl filled with water on a simple table,” notes Manz.
The above counter wash basins are made from DuraCeram porcelain. This revolutionary product is resistant to extremes of temperatures, lightfast and precise enough for creating thin rims that look delicate but can stand up to the rigors of daily use.
In addition to the classical variant in glazed white, Luv basins are also available with matte exterior finishes in White, Grey or Sand.
The modern chest of drawers vanity is offered in White, Nordic White, Taupe, Stone grey, Light blue and Night blue paint finishes. There’s an optional organizer system for the top drawer which is available in solid walnut or maple. Another thoughtful detail is the height-adjustable feet.
Countertop options for the Luv vanity is American walnut or quartz surfacing with a modern thin edge.
The Luv bathtubs reflect the form of the washbowls and has a surprisingly soft feel. The material DuraSolid allows for an amazingly thin bathtub rim and a spacious interior. Duravit offers free-standing tubs and what they call back-to-wall tubs. The back-to-wall tubs are available in straight and corner styles. I love the functionality of the shelf in the back-to-wall tubs. Their shape also eliminates the hassle of having to sweep behind them.
In keeping with the Nordic style, the Luv mirrors have rounded edges. A touchless control panel integrated in the mirror can be used to select LED lighting, the dimmer function and mirror heating for defogging the glass.
Cecilie Manz brings a new perspective to Duravit,” says President of Duravit USA Tim Schroeder. “The Luv series is modern and impeccably designed. With the combination of Duravit’’s technology and craft expertise and Manz’s artistic vision, the Luv collection is an excellent addition to the Duravit family – just in time for our 200th anniversary.”
