If you love colorful appliances then you are familiar with the names BlueStar and Big Chill. What you may not know is that these companies, owned by Prizer-Painter Stove Works, have announced a recall on 9,700 wall ovens and ranges due to an issue with use of the convection oven fan during pre-heating or broiling that can cause accumulated gas to ignite, posing a burn hazard to consumers when oven door is opened. Whether or not you favor cannabis legalization, medicinal and recreational marijuana for the masses is gaining momentum.  Cannabis Researchers report North American legal pot sales jumped 34% in 2016 to $6.9 billion and spending on legal cannabis worldwide is expected to hit $57 billion by 2027.

Blomberg and Summit Ranges Recalled

Arçelik A.S. of Turkey and Beko US, of Bolingbrook, Ill. are announcing the voluntary recall of about 6,300 Blomberg and Summit brand freestanding electric ranges.

Not too long ago, I wrote about the Turkish manufacturer in an article about the growth of the global appliance market. It’s nice to see that they are at least servicing their appliances here.
