Cashmere by Kreoo

Kreoo Cashmere Sink | KitchAnn Style

Kreoo by Decormarmi, known for their exquisite stone vessels and furniture, has introduced a new marble sink called Cashmere.

The brand name, Kreoo, is inspired by the Greek word “kraino” which means to produce or create and in its conjugation kreion means “the one who odes and creates.” Kreoo was launched as an offshoot of parent company Decormarmi in 2010. Italian Designer Enzo Berti, who was inspired by Scandinavian designers associated with the Mid-Century Modern period, created the collection for Kreoo.

Crafted in Italy’s Vicenza area using traditional techniques passed down through generations of stone workers, the Cashmere sink is an oval bowl with an extension that becomes a functional surface to hold small soaps or other cosmetic items. I think it resembles a kitchen measuring spoon – just a little bit.

Cashmere is available in Calcutta. It may be offered in Estremoz White; Marquina Black and St Marie Grey in the future.

The Cashmere vessel can be combined with Kreoo’s storage cabinetry called Wood Box or sit atop their beautiful marble Console Table. The unique shape lends a sense of personality to the bathroom that a standard oval sink does not offer.

Embossed Bathroom Pedestal Basin

The freestanding round pedestal basin from Blu Bathworks has a floral embossed pattern that adds a touch of elegance to a sleek bathroom fixture perfect for today’s modern bathroom.

The SA0505 basin is manufactured from the company’s own blu.stone solid surface material in matte or gloss finish.  Blu.stone provides the look and feel of natural stone but is stain, scratch and impact resistant. Custom colors and no embossing are also available. The basin includes an overflow, a removable concealed drain plate and a polished chrome waste.

The compact 17 3/4″ x 32 5/8″ size makes it ideal for use in a powder room or built into a niche in a custom master bathroom.

The SA0505 qualifies for LEED points.

French Art Deco Vanity

Art Deco is the term given to the decorative and architectural style from 1919-1939.

Art Deco’s geometric designs, accompanied with playful ornamentation contrasted with the earlier organic forms of the Art Nouveau Movement.  Unlike modernist design, Art Deco was not overly concerned with issues of functionality or technology.  Art Deco was primarily a fashion oriented style.

Art Deco style was popular for hotels, theaters, restaurants, ocean liners and World’s Fair exhibits.  By the 1930s, Art Deco style in the United States was adapting to mass production rather than the luxurious products originally shown at the Paris exhibit Les Arts Decoratifs.

Walker Zanger’s Luxe Vanity recalls the 30’s Art Deco style with it’s rich Espresso finish and brushed-nickel accents.  This large single bowl vanity available in honed marble or white onyx will make a grand statement in your bathroom retreat.
