About 21,000 dryers manufactured between November 2009 and August 2010 under the LG brand name and Kenmore Elite are affected by this recall.
If your Dryer is part of the recall, tun off your gas supply and schedule your free repair. (Take note, if your dryer has a colored sticker, it means your unit has already been repaired according to the CPSC.)
If you purchased your dryer from Sears, contact Sears’ customer service at (888) 375-9741 to schedule a free repair to replace the gas valve.
LG brand owners who purchased their dryer at retailers other than Sears should contact LG at (866) 223-5355.
**To confirm if your dryer is part of this recall, identify both model and serial numbers, since not all dryers with the listed models are recalled.**
An electrical failure in the unit’s heating element can pose a fire danger in units made between March 2006 and August 2009. Locate your model number on the left side of the tub’s interior to see if you are affected by this recall.
You can submit your model and serial number through the GE Hotline 1-866-918-8760 or use their online form to determine if your dishwasher is included in the recall.
Turn off your breaker to your Dishwasher if you are part of the recall. You can apply for a FREE repair or you can get a $75 rebate towards the purchase of certain GE front-control plastic tub dishwashers, or a GE rebate of $100 for the purchase of certain GE front-control stainless tub dishwashers or GE Profile top control dishwashers.
