New Triflow Concepts Faucet Design

Triflow Concepts commissioned pre-eminent architect, Zaha Hadid, to explore the capabilities of brassware technology in designing the tap of the future.

Hadid employs the latest in 3-D software to create a touch-sensitive faucet with a unique body that bends and twists like liquid mercury.

The triflow faucet has two spouts, one for filtered water and the other for unfiltered hot and cold water. A green halo light comes on when the touch filtration button is activated. The light turns red when the filter cartridge needs replacing.

The cost of the filter cartridges is unknown but the Designer Triflow Faucet is $7,000. Finish choices for the faucet are gold, nickel, chrome and pewter.

Jaclo Luxury Outdoor Shower Collection

JACLO, a decorative plumbing products manufacturer, known for their decadent shower systems, including the Dream Light Rain Canopy and illuminated Lumiere showerhead, has introduced a luxury outdoor shower collection.

The Arch Column and AquaBambu shower columns are perfect complements to modern pools.

Both can be outfitted with a mixing valve for hot water use, are available in polished or matte stainless steel and can be fitted with a port/valve to drain, which is ideal for cold climates to protect against freezing.

The Arch Column features two spray functions, which can be operated from side-mounted controls. Spray functions include an adjustable angle rain tile showerhead and foot wash outlet.

The AquaBambu shower column features a round, waterfall spray as well as a foot wash outlet.

These sleek shower columns can easily be added to your existing pool deck without having to trench for plumbing lines. An external water inlet can be used with a garden pipe or external water connection.

Whirlpool Duet Sport

If you have a small laundry room or only a laundry closet and you feel the popular front-load washers with matching dryer are just too big you will like the Whirlpool Duet Sport.

The washer and dryer are each 2″ shorter and 2″ shallower than traditional washer and dryers.

The 36″ height is also more practical if you are wanting an undercounter installation. They are also ideal for second floor installations as they have two support springs that reduce vibration and noise. Their reversible doors and 4-way venting capability also make their installation more versatile.

The smaller size and water efficiency on the sport washer means you could save up to 22 gallons of water per load over a tradition top load machine.

MSRP is $799 for the washer and $699 for the dryer.

Where to store the toilet paper

Often when homeowners remodel a bathroom they choose to do it in a contemporary style. One of the reasons for choosing a contemporary styling is for it’s clean and uncluttered appearance. It’s much easier to relax and enjoy the serenity of the new bath when there are no distractions.

One of the huge hurdles homeowners face in planning for their new bathroom is how to cope with the decrease in available storage area.
