Recycled Chandeliers

This fun chandelier series is called a “Hangelier.”  It’s by Organelle Design. While the repurposed hangers are evident, you might not have realized there are also recycled parts from a bicycle.

I can’t seem to decide if i like the wood or plastic version the best. What do you think?

Recycled Lighted Scuplture

This wicked lamp is titled Deep Sea Angler Fish and is made from recycled bicycle parts, knives and utensils and other found objects. It’s massive – 4 feet wide and 5 feet long – so if you want this for your own you will need ample floor space and a large wallet.

The artist, Justin LaDoux made this as part of a larger collection called “Creatures of the Deep.” The collection was entered in the 2010 ArtPrize contest.

Scroll Cabinet Pulls

Ancient Roman scrolls were the inspiration for this modern hardware bound in hand-stitched bridle leather.

These new Scroll pulls are offered in both square and barrel styles in a variety of leather colors ranging from Jazz Red to Yachting Blue.

The sizes range from approximately 4″ to 8″. You can also select the stitch to be exposed or hidden.

I like the exposed stitch. Which do you prefer?

Have a Good Weekend

I really like the use of these salvaged doors by Dutch designer
Piet Hein Eek. What do you think?

Does it work because they are in a loft/industrial setting or is it a misstep?
