Clever Kitchen Storage

I don’t normally talk about kitchenware but I really love Nest 8 from London based Josheph Joseph

Nest 8, designed by Morph duo Bill Holding and Ben Cox, is a fun mix of colorful nonslip mixing bowls, measuring cups, colander and a sieve that all nest together.

Smaller sets, Nest 5 and Nest 3, will be available with Nest 8 this October.  Each set has it’s own unique bowls and kitchen accessories.  If the multi-colored set is too much for you, all white sets will be offered.

This is the utilmate set of kitchenware combining intelligent design and space conscious living.  Every small kitchen could use at least one set.

Bazzeo

Bazzeo by NY Loft not only boasts good looks and clean lines, it is Eco-friendly too.

The boxes are made from 1/4″ Paperstone with wood veneer, laminate or aluminum fronts in their NJ factory.  The manufacturing process employs energy saving techniques, recycling of scraps and low-VOC lacquers.

I’d worry a little about aluminum on lower cabinets scratching but I can’t deny it’s beautiful.

ReLED Replaces Your Flourescent Lamps

ReLEDSystems, from Huntington Beach, CA offers an LED replacement for fluorescent T5, T8 and T12 lamps.

The extruded aluminum linear lamp conforms to the dimensions of a typical fluorescent lamp.  It provides an efficient heat sink and uses bright Lumiled K2 diodes.  The fluorescent ballast is replaced with the Re Driver.  It’s skinny profile helps to make retrofitting the ballast easier.

In addition to the energy savings, the benefits of utilization of LED lighting technology include a 10 year service life (more than half a billion fluorescent tubes are disposed of int he US each year), no infrared or UV light emissions, no mercury or PCBs, high quality light and wide  operating temperature range.

This is great news for people who have fluorescent fixtures in place and want and to utilize LED lighting.

Small Kitchen Idea: Blind Cabinets

Small Kitchen Design Idea | KitchAnn Style

The largest design dilemma in an L-shaped kitchen is “What do you do in the corner?”

A great way to add sleek functionality to your kitchen is by incorporating the Le Mans swivelling shelves in not just a blind cabinet but a Tall Blind Cabinet.

Rows of tall cabinets are very popular right now – espeically with interesting wood grains.  By keeping the tall cabinets on the short side the room actually feels bigger.  Extra tall cabinets in a small space feel a bit too towering.
