Known for cutting–edge faucets, showerheads, and bath fixtures, Antonio Lupi says its latest product, the Ghost, is the world’s first totally concealed showerhead.
Especially ideal for a dark, relaxing and luxurious bathrooms, the Ghost showerhead is only revealed when the water is flowing.
The Ghost currently comes in 3 iterations: the original showerhead, Ghost_BIG and Ghost_COMBI.
Ghost_BIG is – you guessed it – bigger than the original (about 12″ x 14″ compared to 8″ x 10″). The Ghost_COMBI is more elaborate with four different types of spray jets that can be alternated and combined to meet the user preferences. The entire combi system measures about 10″x 21″.
Installing Your Totally Concealed Showerhead
The Ghost shower head is made of a composite material similar to what you might recognize as solid surfacing. The unit installs in the ceiling and is taped and mudded with the surrounding ceiling board for a seamless installation. After sanding, the unit can be painted the same color as the surrounding ceiling.
Maintaining Your Totally Concealed Showerhead
Antonio Lupi considered cleaning and maintenance when developing this unique showerhead. Regular cleaning with a solution of warm water and vinegar is suggested to avoid lime deposits.
A special tool comes with the Ghost that allows users to individually remove the nozzles. Each nozzle can be inspected and cleaned in minutes whenever a problem is detected in the delivery of the water jet.
I can envision this showerhead as a great option for someone who lives in an older condo along the Gulf of Mexico and doesn’t want to trade their location for a newer building that might have taller ceilings. Sometimes seven feet is all we have to work with when updating these bathrooms and this would be such a game changer!
I love this idea! We built several high end homes and I would have loved installing this feature!. Great post on this new product, I love the sleek look!
What a wonderful product, Ann. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I love the way you can conceal this by painting right over it, too.
What a fascinating new product! Thanks for the introduction!
