Reviewing the Pfirst Modern Faucet

A unique feature that sets the Pfirst Modern apart from other faucets is it’s ingenious temperature limiter. We’re used to this concept in our shower mixers so the water temperature can be set not to exceed a specified temperature. Parents in particular love this anti-scald feature.
Now, with a temperature limiter in a faucet, homeowners can simply adjust an individual faucet to the desired max temperature without having to turn down the water heater or opting for an expensive digital faucet.
Adjusting the Pfirst Modern Faucet
It isn’t quite as easy as the picture makes it look to access the valve. I needed to use a knife blade to pry the chrome plug off.
The next steps to disassemble the faucet are probably pretty easy for a plumber. I didn’t have the grip strength to loosen the brass ring. So if you are like me, you may need to plan ahead for some extra assistance.
Once you’ve removed the ring, you turn the cartridge to set the max temperature.
Pfister has a well-known reputation in the hospitality sector but might be overlooked when it comes to residential design.
