New Hardware from Amerock

Amerock has been producing decorative hardware in a variety of finishes for varying tastes since 1929. This year they continue to expand their offering with a new collection called Industrial Chic.

The Industrial Chic line of retro-inspired hardware incorporates the aesthetics of urban loft living with commercial kitchen simplicity.

The Rochdale Collection includes knobs and pulls with rivets for a decidedly industrial look.

The Westerly Collection features sleek, modern lines with a more substantial feel.

Both collections are available in Satin Nickel and the new Graphite finish. These two collections are an extension of the Kane and Crosley collections introduced last year.

Unique Veneers on the Rise

With all the new technology being applied to kitchens and kitchen design it is no wonder homeowners are taking advantage of the ability to customize their kitchens to their own personal tastes.

Customers today are used to affordable luxury. Gone are the days when you have to shop at high-end stores to get designer names and styles. The same Marketing that places Polo and Calvin Klein in Costco stores has trickled into cabinet manufacturing.

Cabinet manufacturers are now showcasing unique and exotic veneers in their standard line-up of species offered. Homeowners are gravitating towards these offerings because it lets their home stand out in the crowd.

Glace Penny Round Glass Tile

Glace tiles from Ann Sacks is a modern glass version of the traditional ceramic penny round tile.

In addition to 3/4″ rounds, this opaque sparkling tile is available in sheets of 1″x 6″ sticks.

Ann Sacks uses the traditional method of ladling molten glass into steel molds to form these tiles. The slow cooling process gives the tiles their aged and scattered appearance.

Since blue is the new green I expect these tiles to be very popular.
