LG Surfacing now Greenguard Certified

LG Solid Source LLC. (LGSS), the North American sales and marketing arm for LG HI-MACS^® Acrylic Solid Surface, LG HI-MACS Volcanics Collection^®, LG HI-MACS Eden Collection^®, and LG Viatera^® Natural Quartz recently announced that these products are now GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified^® for low- chemical emissions with and without LG Adhesive.

“The GREENGUARD certification is a testament to our ongoing commitment to provide environmentally-sensitive products that meet the demands of everyone from the designer to the installer. It also complements well our very popular LG Eden product line which has been independently certified by SCS certification to having at least 12 percent post-industrial recycled materials,” says Mike Tasch, product manager.

GE High Efficiency Incandescent Lamp

Edison’s invention may stay around a little longer now that GE has begun work on creating a high efficiency incandescent light bulb that will be as energy efficient as a compact fluorescent lamp (CFL) and deliver high-quality light output.

Over the last four years GE has invested over $200 million in the development of their high efficiency incandescent (HEI). GE has set a target for these new lamps at initial production to be nearly twice as efficient as current incandescents and deliver 30 Lumens per watt. Their later goal is for the HEI bulb to be four times as efficient and comparable to CFL bulbs.

In addition to desirable light quality, GE says the new HEI lamp will have instant-on convenience and be priced less than current CFLs. Don’t worry about waiting for the CFLs you just bought to burn out; these new HEI lamps won’t be on the market until 2010.

Asko HomePub

Since every party always winds up in the kitchen it makes since to serve the beer from the kitchen.

The Asko HomePub is a combination refrigerator-freezer with a through-the-door beer tap. An extra shelf for storing a 5-litre keg lets you chill your extra keg while you drink the first. Special features include an anti-bacterial system, CO2 cartridge and tap are designed into the door for maximum refrigerator storage, manual temperature controls, quiet (38dbA) operation and auto-defrost.

The unit is currently sold in Europe but plans are in the works to sell Asko Refrigeration Products in America.

Round Glass Mosaic Tiles
