Auspicious, Superstitious or Doomed

12.12.12 KitchAnn Style

Wednesday, December 12, 2012 is the last consecutive number date sequence of the century.

It’s considered a lucky day for Birthdays and Weddings – at least the wedding industry in my view.

Some believe the doomsday December 21, 2012 should have been interpreted as December 12,  2012.

Others believe December 12, 2012 is a day of spiritual awakening.
As if a marker was set so that you would look to this time and awaken to the potential of the era that would follow.

Numerologists also say December 12, 2012 is a great day to start a business and make investments.

The Pope will send his first Tweet on 12.12.12. You’ll have to ask him why he chose the date.

It’s 12.12.12 and so far nothing has happened.

Simple Elegance

“A modern, pure, and minimal collection resulting from the simple elegance
and unadorned forms typical of the Asian art combined with our philosophy
of well-being and luxury.”

Neutra Purity | KitchAnn Style

We’ve all seen these simple forms in bath fixtures before, what I love here is Neutra‘s  minimal use of color and styling. I think I’m also ready for the Holidays and wish I had that view out my window instead of palm trees.

Bird Light

I’ve had this bird light from Hommin bookmarked for a while. I think it is still pretty fantastic – it can be clipped on to an existing light bulb and instantly create some visual interest in a room.

Imagine how much better your laundry room would look or the expression on your child’s face when she discovers it.

What I'm Completely Obsessed With

It’s called Stilla and it’s not cosmetics you would find a Sephora or Ulta.

Stilla is paneling in tempered glass by Joel Berman Glass Studios. It comes in 3 thicknesses, 1/4″, 3/8″ and 5/8″ in a 4″ high repeating pattern with  3-dimensional texture. The panel is 53″ w and 108″ h and can be ordered curved, notched or drilled.

I think it is gorgeous and know of many, many places I’d like to use it.
