As 2020 draws to a close, the powers to be at the Pantone Color Institute have released their annual color of the year. Paint brand AkzoNobel has unveiled a “reassuring” earthy beige hue called Brave Ground as its color of the year for 2021.
Brave Ground was selected as an “elemental” hue that reflects “the strength we can draw from nature, our growing desire to align more with the planet and looking towards the future” – particularly in a world still dealing with the challenges of the coronavirus crisis.
Sherwin-Williams announced its annual Colormix Forecast for 2021, a collection of 40 hues across four palettes that celebrate the Rhythm of Color – the balance between fast and sl, quiet and expressive, and virtual and physical.
