Celebrate Earth Month with Sustainable Cabinetry
You may already know about Earth Day, but did you know that the entire month of April has been recognized as “Earth Month” since the 1970s? What originally started as a single day in 1969 after a devastating oil spill off the coast of Santa Barbara spurred a group of activists to seek out ways to support our planet, is now an internationally celebrated month dedicated to promote activism and awareness on behalf of environmental causes. This year’s theme is “Invest in our planet,” and there are lots of ways to do that, not the least of which is choosing to invest your dollars in sustainably made cabinetry.

ZLINE Recall of Gas Ranges
If you were part of the Pandemic Remodeling Craze of 2020, pay attention to this recall notice.
ZLINE is recalling 30-inch, 36-inch and 48-inch gas ranges due to a faulty oven component of select gas ranges that can emit dangerous levels of carbon monoxide (CO) while in use, posing a serious risk of injury or death from carbon monoxide poisoning.
Hisense USA Recalls Refrigerators
Hisense is recalling about 55,200 26.6 cubic-foot capacity French Door Refrigerators with Ice Maker sold exclusively at Lowes.
According to the recall notice, the door hinges on affected models can break, causing the door to detach when opened and posing impact injury hazards.
The fridges were sold nationwide at Lowe’s and online from August 2020 to February 2022 for around $1,500. The recall involves about 55,200 fridges.

You can locate your serial number by finding label located on the left interior side of the refrigerator, above the water dispenser.
Hisense is offering a free in-home repair of your affected appliance. Visit their recall portal or by calling toll-free at 888-497-1189 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET Saturday and Sunday.
In an effort to prevent incidents, it is suggested you stop using for refrigerator until your repair can be completed.
