Behr Paint, part of the Masco Coatings Group, just released its first-ever Color of the Year (COTY) called “In The Moment“, a fresh green-blue meant to create a soothing atmosphere in the home or office.
Behr’s COTY pick is centered around the goal of finding a balance for all of our activities, reducing stress and increasing the moments of joy in our lives.
Being Mindful
It’s no secret we need to take our minds off something to gain access to our intuition – to our deeper wisdom. When our attention is narrowly focused on something all the time we become mentally exhausted and less productive.
Spiritual teachers and meditation masters tell us to not only recognize the Gap but Be in It.
The Gap is the silent space between thoughts. It is the space where the mind stands still. No thoughts exist in this space. Hence, it is in the Gap that you can experience present moment awareness without judgement. From cultivating present moment mindfulness, inner wisdom and joy arises.
Create Mindful Space
I’m not going to tell you how to create a meditation place. I think on our own mindfulness journeys we need a place to untether from our devices and come shoulder to shoulder with our family and friends to experience the present and contemplate life.

Deepak Chopra put forth that to properly be able to express your true desires and intentions, you need to be able to plant them in the fertile ground of pure potentiality, and allow them to bloom when the season is right. Every time you enter this space your intentions will be there.
Psychology of Color
In the Moment T-1815 is a cool, tranquil, spruce blue inspired by nature. In color psychology when blue and green are combined the resulting color has the same calming results.
It radiates the peace, calm and tranquility of blue and the balance and growth of green with the uplifting energy of yellow.
