The Altimetry Collection from New Ravenna

I’m sharing my new love with you this week. Mandarin Lattice tile in dolmite and shell. It’s part of the Altimetry Collection of mosaics designed by Sara Baldwin and Paul Schatz.

Stone and shell mosaic tile | KitchAnn Style

The mosaics in Altimetry are inspired by intricate aerial views and shadowed landscapes with Eastern influences. This collection “speaks to the beautiful energies, patterns and materials of our world.”

Each of the 9 patterns – Hector, Hector Grand, Royal Palace, Coliseum, Fletcher, Fraser, Cascade, Flock and Mandarin Lattice; can be fully customized with any material preferences to fit the scope of your next project.

Each mosaic is handcrafted from gold, glass, ceramic, stone or shell in the New Ravenna studio located in Virginia. There they size your custom mosaic to your project and tumble, hone or treat the stone to create distinctive style and subtle tone variations.

Glass mosaic tile | KitchAnn Style

The Hector Mosaic shown in Bayard polished and Burnt Umber honed glass is a rich water-jet tile and would look fabulous as the floor in a masculine powder room. The “Serenity glass” that New Ravenna uses is slip resistant when honed and works well in wet areas.

Calacatta Mosaic tile | KitchAnn Style

When fabricated in Calacatta Tia and paired with gray grout, I can see the aerial inspiration.

The Hector pattern comes in interlocking sheets with a repeat 7 1/16″ x 14 9/16″ white the larger Hector Grand comes in interlocking sheets with a repeat 10 5/16 x 10 5/16.

Calacatta mosaic Tile Stalks | KitchAnn Style

The Coliseum Water-jet tile made from marble stalks is stunning in its subtle tones of honed Calacatta Gold and Venetian-honed Calacatta Gold. This 3-D stone tile is best for walls and would look stunning behind a free-standing tub. The Coliseum pattern comes in interlocking sheets with a repeat of 14 1/16 x 14 1/16 or 1.18 sqft.

For my readers who prefer a more masculine style, check out the Coliseum in Nero Marquina black marble.
