Sometimes when designing a bathroom it can seem that there just isn’t anything new to do with the four walls. Sure, niches and art installations can be added but if your tastes are more minimalistic and modern, how do you think outside the box?
If you are Patrick Norguet, you change the shape of the box. Using thin, large format tiles, Norguet created this bath display for Equipe’Hotel.
The triangular mirror is seamlessly incorporated into the design – though it is a little difficult to see in the picture.
Newer technology in printing and creating thin porcelains make installing a room like this much more manageable. Imagine all the back beveling large pieces of marble would require?
I think personally I’d like to see some warmer accents of brass or brushed gold for the light fixtures and plumbing. I’d also swap out the chair for a metallic stool. There are so many different inspirations you can get from this project. Where would you take it?
About Patrick Norguet:
