KitchenAid’s refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher are all available in black stainless steel. According to KitchenAid, the black stainless appliances complement traditional stainless pieces and the two can be mixed and matched in a kitchen. KitchenAid offers black stainless steel on a selection of single and double wall ovens, dishwashers, range hoods and refrigerators.
GE’s Slate finish is stone inspired and matte in finish to hide fingerprints and smudges. GE offers the Slate finish on a selection of single and double wall ovens, ranges, microwaves, cooktops, range hoods, dishwashers and refrigerators.
Monogram offers a complete suite of Professional appliances for custom order in their Graphite finish. Monogram claims their Graphite is an uncommonly strong and scratch-resistant surface that is achieved when titanium material is vaporized into atomic particles and then layered atop a stainless base in a process called Physical Vapor Deposition, or PVD.
Samsung released their Black Stainless Steel Collection this past fall. It includes existing products from Samsung offers black stainless steel on a selection of refrigerators, ranges, dishwasher and the over-the-range microwaves.
LG joins the others this month releasing their Black Stainless Steel finish (formerly called the Diamond Collection). Their finish is lighter than the other manufacturers’. LG offers black stainless steel on a selection of ranges, dishwashers, OTR microwave ovens, and refrigerators.
To promote the new launch of the Black Stainless Steel finish, LG has teamed up with HGTV and created the LG Limitless Design Contest.
Now until January 29, 2016 two winners will receive a suite of LG Black Stainless Steel Series appliances, $25,000 and a consultation with Emily Henderson or David Bromstad to completely make over their kitchens.
To enter for a chance to win a kitchen suite, contestants must create their own kitchen design Pinterest board, titled “LG Limitless Design,” inspired by Black Stainless Steel.
