This week I’m traveling to Memphis to take part in the +Brizo Faucet Blogger19 Reunion. I want to thank Masco for hosting this event and handing all the travel arrangements – that couldn’t have been a small job considering groups of 19 Bloggers have attended Brizo Fashion Week events biannually since February of 2010. I’ll be posting and Tweeting about our tours of the Jackson manufacturing facility and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Brizo is a sponsor of the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. To date, 315 dream homes have been built across America using donated land, labor and products.xoxo –Ann
Hand-silvered Artisan Tile from Ann Sacks
Versailles Mesh tile from Ann Sacks is a mix of industrial chic and authentic technique. Hand-silvered security glass with wire mesh looks like aged mirror with spotting and random streaking. The wire mesh adds a modern graphic component that is trending in tile a the moment.
The Versailles Mesh tiles come in the following sizes 3” x 6”, 6” x 6”, 6” x 12”, 6” x 20”, 6” x 24”, 12” x 12”, 12” x 24”, 14” x 14”, 24” x 24” for dry, indoor applications. They are also available tinted in three colors in addition to the Silver Flake Rustic finish. Choose from Dark Bronze, Mercury and Rose Butter.
According to Ann Sacks, these tiles are made to order and must be installed with an expansion joint between them so the glass will not crack. Is this something you’d use in your next industrial or rustic chic kitchen project?

Traditional Pulldown faucet
One of the difficulties in designing a theme kitchen or bath is finding plumbing fixtures that meet both the theme and the modern functionality homeowners want.
I was pretty pleased to discover this new traditional pull-down faucet from Waterstone Faucets. It’s designed and made in the USA from solid brass.
The PLP Pulldown is extremely gorgeous and would you believe it, available in 31 finishes. It also comes with 3 decorative handle caps and is reverse osmosis compatible.
The PLP spray head has a unique “PLP” positive lock that keeps the head in place. The counter balanced spray head extends 18″ from the spout and features two spay types.
Other convenient features are a control handle that adjusts up to 45 degrees (right or left) for clearance from backsplashes and the 360 degree swivel spout.
Coordinating accessories such as an air switch and soap\lotion dispenser are also available.
Corian Countertops with Wireless Charging Built In
Through a partnership with the Power Matters Alliance (PMA), DuPont Building Innovations will soon begin embedding Powermat’s wireless charging technology within its Corian solid surface material.
Powermat displayed its own tabletop charging concept at CES but this step is an innovation first in Building Materials.
I imagine this will very popular in public spaces such as airports, bars, coffee houses and hotels. (Powermat already has a European alliance that includes wireless charging at cafes, hotels airports and select McDonaldsEurope.) It may lead to a new surge of Corian use in the home. I can think of many ways I’d incorporate it into an office area or the laundry room and mud room which are so often the catch-all area for many homes.
