Here’s a fabulous traditional kitchen with a modern feel that successfully mixes different materials from full slab stone backsplash and dual tone tile walls to pro-style range and rustic farm sink.
I think the styling went a little overboard and I’m not a huge fan of the knob placement. But, overall, I think this is a gorgeous kitchen. What do you think?
It’s amazing how good taupe looks with the stainless and white, not a combination I would have thought of for a kitchen, but so appealing. This is a good background color for food and people, which is what kitchen should be. I agree about the hardware; a nice pencil-slim “c” pull, but long, like a chopstick, would have been a little sharper with the hood. I like these mounted horizontally, so you can poke a towel through as necessary. Hardware is like the jewelry: it makes or breaks the cabinetry.

I love contemporary as a rule but I like this because, although traditional, it has a current modernity to it. Great color too!
The color is very “Now” and I think that does help make it feel current.
