Behr Paint has unveiled its 2020 Color Trends Palette: a balanced mix of grounding shades, energizing bright colors, deep accent hues and atmospheric pastels, developed for both residential and commercial applications. This new palette of 15 approachable colors, told in three stories—Worldhood, Restore and Atmospheric is small compared to the recent palettes releases by Pantone and Sherwin-Williams for 2020. The 2020 Colormix Forecast from Sherwin-Williams has been name Color In Balance and contains 45 of the most on-trend colors arranged in 5 color palettes – Mantra, Heart, Alive, Play and Haven.

Sue Wadden, director of color marketing at Sherwin-Williams, and her global forecast team researched color, design, and pop culture trends across the globe for months in order to select the five themes that will welcome in  a new decade in interior design.

Nature continues to be an inspiration point for PPG who has announced Chinese Porcelain (PPG1160-6) as their 2020 Color of the Year (COTY).

As consumers tire of gray and start looking for a color to entice the senses, blue is the easiest introduction for designers to present to their clients.
