InSinkErator is undertaking a voluntary recall of 1,400,000 air switches due to fire hazard.

We all know water and electricity do not mix so millions of homes have installed InSinkErator countertop air switches for their disposers.

Blomberg and Summit Ranges Recalled

Arçelik A.S. of Turkey and Beko US, of Bolingbrook, Ill. are announcing the voluntary recall of about 6,300 Blomberg and Summit brand freestanding electric ranges.

Not too long ago, I wrote about the Turkish manufacturer in an article about the growth of the global appliance market. It’s nice to see that they are at least servicing their appliances here.

Anaheim Manufacturing Recalls Garbage Disposers

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) 146,000 various branded 1 HP and 3/4 HP garbage disposers manufactured in China by Anaheim Manufacturing Co. and imported by Moen, Inc. have been recalled due to a component inside the disposal can break off and launch from the disposal during use.

This recall affects units manufactured from November 1, 2015 through January 31, 2017 sold in the US under various brands and in Canada under the Waste King brand.
