GE Appliances free-standing and slide-in gas and electric ranges are part of a recall notice issued this month due to the possibility of ranges tipping over when heavy objects are placed on the door.
This recall affects approximately 132,000 units in the US and 12,960 units in Canada in both 24″ and 30″ width sold under seven Name Brands: GE, GE Profile, Café, Haier, Hotpoint, Crosley and Conservator.
As part of GE’s commitment to product safety and consumer service, they are voluntarily recalling the affected units and providing a free in-home repair. To see if your range is part of the recall, locate your model number and serial number that starts with either “HS” or “LS”. The tags are usually visible when the doors are opened.
