Chic Leather and Closet Design

When I talk about leather in the closet, I’m not referring to your leather jacket or purses. I’m referring to leather as a surface material.

Leather floor tiles are soft under foot and work well with radiant heating in colder climates. Undeniably luxurious when installed, leather only grows more beautiful with age as it gains its patina.

FYI, before installing leather tiles or panels, it’s best to let the product acclimate on site for one to two weeks prior to installation.

If you prefer your closets to look uncluttered and keep everything behind reach-in doors then full leather wrapped doors is a great solution. I love how these doors add warmth and contrast to the sleek mirrors.

When talking about leather accents, I have to also mention hardware. This is naturally the easiest way to add a luxury item to your closet that you’ll interact with every day. I simply adore these shagreen pulls.

Leather is not necessarily kid-friendly but small touches such as line shoe shelves and jewelry drawers can add a large impact to your wardrobe sanctuary.

General maintenance for leather tile involves wiping the surface with a damp soft cloth (do not spot rub). Saddle soap or household cleaners that may contain harsh chemicals, alcohol or ink removers should never be used.
